Real Commitment Changes What The Organization Is

What is your company’s vision actually accomplishing?
Most organizations have a vision. A mission statement, a strategic plan, a set of goals they’re working toward. Many of them are doing a reasonable job of executing on that vision.
Maybe that describes your company. But do you ever wonder if there might be something more?
Is your vision ambitious enough to require your organization to actually become something different? Or is it a future you can reach by doing more of what you’re already doing, just better and faster?
There’s nothing wrong with the second kind of vision. But it won’t produce the culture, the innovation, or the competitive positioning that comes from committing to something that might seem out of reach.
That distinction is at the heart of everything Renascence does.
A Commitment Can Change Everything
In the agricultural industry, one of the most notoriously difficult sectors when it comes to labor practices, NatureSweet made a commitment that most of their competitors would have called impossible. They decided that every one of their field workers would earn a living wage. Not a compliance wage. A genuine living wage, one that could comfortably support a family.
In 2022, 75% of NatureSweet’s agricultural workers were earning livable wages running 53% above the average agricultural compensation in Mexico, with the opportunity to earn up to 300% in bonus compensation based on their own performance. NatureSweet’s turnover rate is less than 1% a month — in an industry where average annual turnover runs between 150 and 250%. Associates also have access to educational programs, healthcare, and mental health support, including a literacy program and a pilot bachelor’s degree in agriculture. NatureSweet became the world’s largest controlled environment agriculture company to achieve B Corp certification.
CEO Rodolfo Spielmann put it plainly in a Forbes interview: “There’s a false dichotomy between treating workers with dignity and being profitable. At NatureSweet, we don’t question ‘How can we be profitable if we do this?’ We are profitable because we treat our employees right. That’s our business model. There’s no conflict.”
That’s what a real commitment does. It doesn’t just change what an organization produces. It changes what the organization is. It changes who shows up, how they show up, and what they’re capable of together.
NatureSweet didn’t optimize their way to that outcome. They made a declaration and committed to something that required them to become a different kind of company, and then they built everything around fulfilling that commitment.
Why this story? (besides the fact that it is truly inspiring!) Well, the transformational methodology used by Naturesweet to create this level of success and seemingly impossible outcomes is the core and foundation of The Renascence Program.
What Culture and Innovation Actually Run On
There’s a persistent myth in organizational life that culture is built through values workshops, retreats, and carefully worded mission statements. Those things have their place. But culture forms around shared commitment — specifically, a commitment to something that might be uncomfortable, something that requires people to grow into rather than simply execute.
That kind of commitment is what produces real innovation. Organizations spend enormous amounts of money on design thinking workshops and idea sprints and then wonder why the output falls flat. The problem usually isn’t the process. It’s that nothing in the organization demands genuinely new thinking. Innovation happens when a team is trying to do something they’ve never done before and can’t get there by doing what they already know.
When a team commits to an outcome that requires them to become something different people bring ideas they would have kept to themselves. They tolerate the discomfort of uncertainty because the goal on the other side of it is demanding, exciting and worth it. Engagement follows when you work for something that truly matters.
The Tools to Pursue What Others Call Impossible
Renascence is built around a deceptively simple question: what would you commit to if you genuinely believed it was possible?
Most leaders have learned to edit that question before they answer it. They’ve been shaped by experience, by setbacks, by the accumulated weight of what hasn’t worked, to stay within the range of the plausible. The Renascence program is designed to surface that pattern and replace it with something more powerful: a genuine commitment to a future worth building, and the tools to pursue it.
The leaders and organizations that come through this program don’t just leave with a new strategy. They leave with a shared language, a shared commitment, and a demonstrated capacity to take on goals and a future that their organization previously couldn’t have entertained.
“Whatever is impossible in your industry today someone will make happen tomorrow and change the world. The only question is, will it be you, or will it be a competitor?”
- Tracy Goss, Creator of the Winning Strategy methodology
Creating the Future of Your Industry
Here’s the most important question for you right now:
Is your organization building the future of your industry, or getting better at the present one?
Both are real choices. But only one of them is the kind of leadership that people look back on and say: they changed what was possible.
What do you want the power to do?
If you’re ready to have that conversation about what your organization could commit to, and what it would take to get there, reach out. Your commitment could change everything.
Will empower you with the knowledge and tools to CREATE the CONTEXT for your life and your business
Context is the freedom to be context in space. It has no form, no place in time; It allows form and time. In the absence of a consciously·created context, Our lives are controlled by content- The forces and circumstances of the condition in which we live. Once you create a context, that context then generates a process in which the content -The forces & circumstances - reorder and align themselves with the context.
For example, if you choose to shift the context of your life from "I don't matter" to "I make a difference" The circumstances in your life, while they may not have changed, take on an entirely new meaning. The new meaning, then begins to reflect that you make a difference.
What is the context of your life today? What do you desire the context of your life to be?
"Talking about transformation is no more than a representation, an image of the real thing. It's like eating the menu instead of the steak – neither nurturing nor profound. It is in being transformed – in being authentically true to oneself – that one lives passionately free, unencumbered, fearless, committed."
